Apple launches Made in Toronto-Waterloo section in App Store

Apple has introduced a new section to their app store that celebrates the apps and games that were developer in the Toronto and Waterloo area, sometimes referred to as the Canadian Silicon Valley.

Some notable apps made by Toronto-based app and game developers include: Alto’s Adventure (made by Snowman), 1Password (made by AgileBits), Bitmoji (made by Bitstrips), Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP (made by Capybara Games), Wealthsimple (by Wealthsimple) and Flipp (made by Flipp Corporation).

Some of the apps and games made by Waterloo-based developers include: Capo Touch (made by SuperMegaUltraGroovy Inc.), Lightbot: Code Hour (by LightBot Inc.).

This new section is part of the App Store’s Canada 150 section, which highlights apps made by Canadians, you’d be surprised how many there are. You can check out the rest of the games and apps made by Canadians, here.
