It’s been exactly five years since Google first launched Google Play (today to be exact, on March 6th, 2012).
Now it has grown to more just apps, over the past five years, Google has added games, movies, TV, books and music to their Google Play.
They’ve accumulated over 1 billion active users in 190 countries and there are millions of apps, 40 million songs, 5 million books and lots of movies to choose from.
Google says the Play Store is in more places than ever before including Chromebooks, Android Wear watches and virtual reality with Google Daydream.
To celebrate Google Play’s 5th birthday, Google has revealed its Top 5 U.S. Lists to Celebrate Turning 5, the lists are as follows:
