It hasn’t even been six months since the OnePlus 3 was released and OnePlus is already releasing a new(ish) phone. Now, they have revealed the OnePlus 3T which is a new upgraded variant of the phone with a Snapdragon 821 processor, better battery and more.
On first glance, it’s very hard to tell the difference between the OnePlus 3 and the new 3T variant. As mentioned earlier, the OnePlus 3T has a Snapdragon 821 processor, as featured in the Google Pixel and 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM.
You’ll also find a 128GB storage option and the battery is bigger with it now being 3,400 mAh instead of 3,000 mAh but it still retains OnePlus’ Dash Charge. The 5.5-inch 1080p Optic AMOLED display is still on the OnePlus 3T.
Now the front-facing camera is also 16-megapixels (which the rear-facing camera already was). It also has Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS).
Each OnePlus 3T is made from a single slab of premium space-grade aluminum for a seamless finish. There is also a new Gunmetal colour option as well as a Soft Gold version.
The new model is running an updated version of Oxygen OS based on Android 6.0.1.
The OnePlus 3T will be available in 64GB and 128GB in two colour options, Gunmetal and Soft Gold (but the Soft Gold version is only available in 64GB and will launch later). It will launch in Canada and the US on November 22nd and in Europe on November 28th from OnePlus.net. The phone starts at $599 CAD/ $439 USD/ 439 EUR/ 399 GBP.
