Google’s Pixel C tablet is now available to purchase from the Google Store. The tablet was first revealed at their September 29th event in which they also launched latest Nexus phones and they gave the Pixel C a “in time for the holidays” deadline, in which they now succeeded because there are still a few weeks left until Christmas.
The Pixel C Keyboard is a full-size wireless keyboard that connects via bluetooth and attaches to the tablet via self-aligning magnets and you can set the angle of the tablet to the keyboard between 100 and 135 which can make it easier to use the Pixel C for productivity purposes. Also while the Pixel C tablet is closed together with the Keyboard, the tablet will wirelessly charge it so you never have to charge the Keyboard.
It is being powered by a Quad-cord Nvidia Tegra X1 processor with 3GB of RAM. It launches with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, which brings some bug fixes as well as a bunch of new emojis.
The screen is 10.2 inches with a resolution of 2560×1800 (308 ppi). The rear-facing camera is 8 megapixels and can take up 1080p video, while the front-facing camera is 2 megapixels.
The tablet weights 517 grams, has stereo speakers and uses USB Type-C to charge.
The Pixel C tablet only comes in one colour. The Pixel C tablet costs $649 CAD for the 32GB model and $799 CAD for the 64GB model. One thing to note is that neither model comes with the Keyboard, that is a separate cost of $199 CAD.
