Microsoft made a lot of announcements at their E3 2015 press conference. It was filled with new games, live demos and much more.
Halo 5: Guardians
The press conference first started off with a live demo of Halo 5: Guardians. The demo was showing off the co-op in Halo 5.
They also showed one of the new maps in the multiplayer with a new trailer.
Halo 5: Guardians is coming to Xbox One on October 27th 2015.
ReCore
ReCore is a new game that is coming exclusively to the Xbox One in Spring 2016.
Backwards compatibility on Xbox One
You’ll soon be able to play your Xbox 360 games on your Xbox One … for free. This will supposedly work with your Xbox 360 discs or if it was a downloadable version of a Xbox 360 game, you’ll be able to download it and play it. There will a set of Xbox 360 games that will be compatible when it launches this holiday with many more to come soon after.
Xbox Elite Controller
The Xbox Elite Controller is fully customizable with limitless possibilities and combinations. It will also have swappable parts from the joy-sticks to the d-pad. There will also be button map and control the depth of the triggers.
Fallout 4 Mods on Xbox One
Alongside the debut of some new Fallout 4 footage, Todd Howard, the game’s creative director, announced that mods that were created on PC for Fallout, will work on Xbox One. All of the mods will be free.

EA Access was first announced at last year’s E3. EA Access allows you to play EA games before they launch for everyone else. The service costs just $5 a month.
This year, EA is adding more games such as Titanfall (coming this summer) and Dragon Age: Inquisition coming later this year. EA is also offering EA Access for free for one week for all Xbox Live Gold Members.
Plants VS Zombies: Garden Warfare 2
EA announced the sequel to 2014’s Plants VS Zombies: Garden Warfare at the Xbox E3 2015 Briefing. More details will be revealed at EA’s own press conference.
Plants VS Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 is coming Spring 2016 on Xbox One.
Forza Motorsport 6
The game is one of the technically advanced and biggest Forza game ever, as said by Dan Greenwalt, the creative director on Forza Motorsport 6. It is going to be running at 1080p at 60 fps.
Forza Motorsport 6 comes on September 15th 2015.
Dark Souls 3
Dark Souls is coming to the Xbox One in early 2016.
Tom Clancy’s The Division
Ubisoft announced that an exclusive beta will come to the Xbox One in December 2015.
Tom Clancy’s The Division will be released on March 8th 2016 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Seige
Rainbow Six Siege has been given an actual release date. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege will be released on October 13th, 2015 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The Xbox One version will also come with Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2 when Rainbow Six Siege launches. This will be possible with the help of the new backwards compatibility on Xbox One that is coming later this year.
Gigantic
Not a whole lot was said about this title besides the showing of the trailer. This game will be free-to-play and be exclusive to Xbox One and Window 10 (aka PC). The beta for Gigantic will start in August 2015.
More Indie titles for Xbox One
With the ID@Xbox program, indie developers can get their game on Xbox One. Microsoft showed off a few games at their E3 2015 even.
Tacoma is a new game from the developers behind 2013’s Gone Home. It take place in space and the game will come to Xbox One first in 2016.
Cuphead is a new take on the platform genre. It features the looks of cartoons from the 1930s (think Disney’s Steamboat Willie) meets the platforming of games like DuckTales: Remastered or Rayman: Legends. The game will be coming out in 1936 (+ 80 years, meaning that it comes out in 2016).

Xbox Games Preview
Microsoft introduced a new program for Xbox One. It is similar to Steam Early Access but this is free. Essentially you’ll get a free trial of a early access game (one that may still be in development). There are a few games that are going to be a part of the Xbox Games Preview program. That includes: The Long Dark, Elite Dangerous and DayZ.
Ion
Ion is a new game from the creator of DayZ, Dean Hall. The game will be released on Xbox One and PC but no release date was given.
Rise of the Tomb Raider
The follow-up to 2013’s Tomb Raider reboot was first revealed at E3 2014. This year, we got a live stage demo of the game. The game is going to be a timed exclusive and will be released on November 10th 2015 on Xbox One.
Rare
Rare has been responsible for a lot of games for Xbox, including Perfect Dark Zero, Viva Pinata and many more. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the company and they are celebrating it by offering Rare Replay, which is a collection of 30 games that were developed by Rare. All the games have been updated for the Xbox One. Rare Replay is coming out August 4th 2015 for just $30.
Rare also announced a new game that they are working on, it called Sea of Thieves. It’s essentially a open-world pirate adventure game with co-op multiplayer so you can play with you and your friends. It’s coming to Xbox One at a unspecified release date.
Fable Legends
This game was also revealed at last year’s E3. Its co-op adventure in the Fables universe. It is going to be exclusive to Xbox One and Windows 10 and it will be free-to-play for Xbox Live Gold members. It is going to be released this holiday.
Valve VR Partnership
In addition to Microsoft’s partnership with Oculus,which involves making the Oculus Rift compatible with the Xbox One and Windows 10 and a Xbox One controller is going to come with each Oculus Rift when it launches in Q1 2016.
Not a lot of details were given about the partnership between Valve and Microsoft other than that you should expect to see compatibility of Valve’s VR headset with the Xbox One and Windows 10.
Minecraft on Microsoft HoloLens
Microsoft has a live stage demo of how the HoloLens can be used in a game like Minecraft.
Gears of War
The Coalition (formerly known as Black Tusk Studios up until recently) had two announcements. The first was that the first Gears of War is coming to the Xbox One with the Gears of War Ultimate Edition. The game will run at 1080p at 60 fps. There will also be a one week early public beta starting this week. The Gears of War Ultimate Edition is coming on August 25th 2015.
Gears 4 was also announced and was shown off with a live stage demo. It has a release date of Holiday 2016.
